I know I said I was going to try not to post too much stuff about 1990 Gettysburg here, but I don't really have much else to post about so here are the first four panels that have been posted in their original form. I was originally going to do the whole thing in watercolor, but knowing how time-consuming that can be and considering I'm still not as comfortable with watercolor as I used to be, I optioned to do these in ink wash and color them digitally. However, the most enjoyable part about this was inking with a brush again. I forgot about the some of the great textures you can get with a dry brush. Each "panel" is a little less than 5 in. x 4 in., so the figures are done relatively small. The tricky part is they get smaller as I go further into this story. I'm breaking out the tiny markers.Anyway, I really will try to keep '90G stuff off of here. I hope you guys are checking it out, but if not that's completely fine. There's a shift coming in the next week, and I'm having a blast working on this, so I can only hope some of you might too.
All for now, more later!
3 of these things are not like the others:
its pretty cool to see them in this form as well as on the site itself. I dig it.
Neat work, man.
Thanks guys!
