I've been thinking about this for a while now. I've got a couple boxes full of all the originals from the last year or so of Flash Fridays, Thor Thursdays, mugshots, etc. and for reasons I can't put in to words I've held onto them pretty tight. I'd always take a pretty healthy chunk of the originals to shows and when people ask to buy them I always said no. I really don't know why I've been so hesitant to sell them, I think somewhere in the back of my mind I was worried I'd need to scan them again for some reason. Looking over all of them, I feel like I can part with a significant amount of the work, to clear some much needed room in the office and closets. This is also something that just needs to happen financially. We're not doing poorly by any means, but we've had to drop pretty hefty amounts of money lately. Adopting a dog is not cheap (did I mention we got a dog? Whoops, here's Friday). I spent 3 hours at the mechanic's this morning getting our front brakes replaced ($$$). All that, and Carla and I are hoping to get out of apartment life somewhere in the near future. Hopefully this will go a long way toward saving for said house.
Anyway, here's the link to the Doc Shop. There's nothing there yet, I've been re-scanning all the pieces so they look exactly as they are in person. Once everything's up, I will have all the prints I've got leftover from shows, the originals, and whatever else I can sell around here (first born?). Just as a warning, some of the pieces will be higher priced than the usual commission rates, for a variety of reasons. As some of you have noticed I'm no longer accepting commissions at the moment, as I still need to catch up on some older ones. When I do open them up again, I'll probably have new rates and what is available will have changed. Finishing these watercolor pieces is taking a lot longer than I'd anticipated.
Thanks for checking in! I promise there's more exciting stuff to come this week.
