I've been reading R.C. Harvey's Children of the Yellow Kid for the last week. While not quite as expansive as other books on the American comic strip's history, Harvey's insight and perspective are pretty great. Many of the examples provided are also photos of the original art, which in some places is just incredible, particularly some of the Calvin and Hobbes strips, On Stage, Gasoline Alley, and Secret Agent X-9. I was looking for something quick to sketch and inspiration hit for this Yellow Kid themed 1990 Gettysburg drawing. That's all I could come up with to write on the shirt.
Speaking of '90 G, I'm working on the last bit of this part of the current storyline. Thanks for sticking with me folks.
