Doc's Justice League - Take 2

When I posted my original picks for members of the Justice League over on Deviant Art, I was asked why I didn't include any ladies. It wasn't a conscious decision, nor do I think you should shoehorn women into the comics simply to have women on the team, but it's a valid point. So what I did was take out the "time travelers" from the first take and put in three more favorites of mine. Black Canary and Martian Manhunter were easy choices, but the third one was a bit tougher. If Captain Marvel wasn't already on the team, I would've definitely put Mary Marvel on it. Realizing I wanted a member of the Aquaman family in here, Mera was a pretty easy pick. I tried to line up the new characters to the old ones in terms of their positioning within each panel.

5 of these things are not like the others:

Evan, this is fantastic. I became a big fan of your work on DrawingBoard.org, and it's inspiring to see how you've improved over the years. You're an inspiration, man. Rock on!

I like this line-up, especially because a) it has Captain Marvel, who is criminally under-used or misused by DC, and b) it doesn't have any jive-ass yellow gorilla on it. Great layout, too!

While I like the characters, I always feel that the costume color balance in a team is very important, and brother, there is too much red in this team. May I suggest moving Captain Marvel over to the JSA and letting Junior join up with with JLA? The inclusion of Mera is pretty much genius.
