Didn't mean to go so long over the weekend without posting everybody. I spent a lot of time rearranging and cleaning the office, so there isn't a whole lot of finished art to post. Except for the page which the above panel comes from.Last week when I posted the Ronin sketch I mentioned the small group of artists that had started to take shape, and that we were planning on doing a Zorro theme next by suggestion of Mitch Breitweiser. Over the weekend the number of artists involved grew to 15 people, all amazingly talented folks. We've got a blog where we'll be posting everything throughout the week, over at COMIC TWART. I just posted the one page Zorro "story" I worked on today, and you can see it here. Make sure to check out the great Zorros by the rest of the guys who I pretend I can call peers. I don't get to pick the theme for about 4 months since my name comes last alphabetically, but you can bet I'll probably sucker these guys into drawing Encyclopedia Brown.
This is a bit of a milestone for me as I'm just starting to really get into the groove of this whole sequential business, and most of the pages I've worked up so far take me days at a time. I managed to write, pencil, ink, and color this page all in one day. I'm really challenging myself to produce, which I think is part of the beauty of this sketchgroup.
And I want to make that panel into a postage stamp. Somebody make that happen.
2 of these things are not like the others:
