I know things have been pretty thin here on the blog for the past week or so, thanks for your patience everybody. I still don't have any efficient way to get anything scanned, not to mention I'm pretty busy as it is so there isn't a whole lot of new stuff to show. Again, I appreciate that you guys keep checking in in the meantime. In the effort of not just playing for your pity, I'll skip the details and just say I could use your help. We've had some major expenses come up the last week and while we're working to cover them, freelancing doesn't exactly pay the bills right now. I recognize this is a pretty comfortable problem given all that's out there in the world right now, so I'm not just asking for charity and I want to give the impression that I'm begging when I know there are folks much worse off. I'm running a special right now over on the Doc Shop where any order comes with a 9x12 mugshot/bust of your choice. Unfortunately I can't discount any of the prices right now, but hopefully the extra drawing can make up for some of that. If you can't, trust me, I completely understand. But if you've been thinking about picking up something over there, please consider making the purchase now. We'd sure appreciate it.
Secondly, I'm honored to have been invited to attend the Free Comic Book Day festivities at Acme Comics in Greensboro, North Carolina. I'll be sitting out front with a lot of other great folks like Chris Samnee, Jeremy Dale, Jeff Parker, and a bunch of other guys I don't deserve to be near drawing Darkseid or whatever it is the kids like these days. I've never done the Free Comic Book Day thing, but it'll be free sketches from the whole group, so that's something to get excited about.
And because I don't think I've mentioned it yet, I'll also be at the Midwest Comic Book Association's Springcon May 15-16 (Sat-Sun) hanging out with good buddies Kyle Latino, Matt Kaufenberg, and Mitch Gerads. I've never been, but I've heard great things about the show and really look forward to being there and meeting folks.
Both appearances have links and info to your right in the sidebar just in case. As of right now, I don't plan on making any other shows, but things could always change. I really wanted to see Heroes con for the first time this year but I won't be able to make it, so count me in for next year.
Again, thanks for reading everybody, hope to be able to show you something soon.
