I hadn't drawn Popeye in a while, figured it was about time.

Twas beauty killed the COMIC TWART

Last week's theme at the Comic Twart was Giant Monsters, as picked by Chris Samnee, so I went with my favorite giant-- KING KONG. I'm a huge fan of Kong and I can't believe this is the first time I'm drawing him. Click the clip above to see the whole thing over at the Twart itself. Someday when I'm a billionaire I'm just going to sit around drawing King Kong comics.

Sorry for the infrequent posting as of late here, I've been lucky lately if I can find an hour in the day to draw while we race towards the baby's due date. I'll try to post what I can in the coming month or so.

Ms. Marvel

This Ms. Marvel is for Joel Carroll. I don't know why she didn't hold onto this costume, I like it a lot better than her current one.

Big Gopher

As part of my birthday, I sat down and watched the Rocketeer movie last night. I sometimes forget how much I enjoy that movie. It came out when I was 6 and I still dig it just as much (if not more) 20 years later. Anyway, I figure it's been long enough since I last drew him.

Gee Whiz

Today's my birthday, and my schedule happened to allow me the chance to do just about whatever I wanted. What that means is drink some coffee, flip through a new batch of books, and draw Captain Marvel.

This one's based on what is probably my favorite Captain Marvel-related cover, Whiz Comics #22. I love whenever they have Cap and Billy inexplicably both standing around together, especially considering I think that there might be active volcanoes or forest fires going on behind them.

Alright, back to work tomorrow.
