Captain Marvel is dead, long live Captain Marvel! The Jamie McKelvie design for Marvel's new Captain Marvel has really grown on me since its debut so I thought I'd give it a try.
Also, anybody who gets the visual reference/lame joke I made here, we can keep being buddies.

The Boy Who Lived
Today's warm-up is a return to Hogwarts, maybe the second time I've
drawn Harry Potter. I've been meaning to take another stab at it because
now and then I like it when my family knows who I'm drawing. I'm still reading the first book though.
UPDATE: The great Jordie Bellaire worked her color magic (sorry) on this one. SO GREAT!

Headin' West
I wanted to try something else with that Wally from a few weeks ago. I don't know how guys like Ron and Chris do this kind of stuff all the time.

Unicorn Secrets
Here's another sketch from Emerald City Comicon that I threw some color on for fun. I think this is the first time Tintin has been requested at a show and it was a blast to do.

Cloudy with a Chance of Superhero
Tuesday, April 03, 2012
After taking a day off, I'm back from Emerald City Comicon! I realized when I was there that this is the first time I've ever returned to a show. That's because it was such a blast last year and this year was no different. Giant thanks to Brian Meredith and the rest of the folks who run the show for working so hard to make it such a good time. I got a chance to meet so many new extremely kind folks and see old friends as well.
Above is another one of the pre-show sketches that I didn't get to post before I left, with Cap punching out one of the Crocodile Men.
